Happy Holidays from gk designs!!!

Gwen made these super cute snowman cupcakes for the Christmas dinner she and her husband hosted at their new house! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our friends and family!!

Stacey's Christmas Bridal Shower

Katherine's friend, Stacey, got married this Fall!!! Here are the pictures from her wedding shower in Houston. The party was held around Christmas, so the hostesses selected red and metallic colors for the theme.

White and Red Velvet cupcakes...piped with a fluffy white icing and embellished with bright red fondant pressed flowers.

For the favors...each guest took home a hand-stamped, personalized set of note cards and envelopes.
The stack of notecards were tied together with festive ribbon and paper poinsettias.

Thanksgiving Turkey Treats

Check out these turkey treats that Gwen made for Thanksgiving...

The heads are made out of Whoppers, the nose is the white tip of the candy corn, the eyes are piped with white and black icing. The turkeys' bodies are made with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups atop an Oreo, and the feathers are made out of a second Oreo and of course - candy corn.

"First came love, then came marriage, soon there will be a baby in the carriage!!!"

Katherine's cousin, Katie, is having a baby in January!! Here are the pictures of the invitations we made for her baby shower as well as the cut-out cookies decorated to look like the carriage on the invites. Katie's baby shower was great - can't wait to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl!!!

The fabric "carriages" were machine sewed onto the cardstock and buttons were glued on for the "wheels."

Once again - our gk cut-out cookies made the flight down south. We only had 1 cookie break on the trip to New Orleans!

Guests took home cookies as favors - tags were attached to the ribbon with the boy and girl names picked out for the baby!

Monday Night Dinner Cupcakes

We get together with a group of our friends every Monday for dinner. Gwen made these super cute (and very delicious) cupcakes when it was her time to host. Everyone had a hard time deciding which cupcake to eat. :)

Baby Boy Shower Invites!!

We made these diaper shower invites for one of Katherine's co-workers. The invitation wording was printed in a light brown on white cardstock, which slid out of the hand-made blue "diaper." The invites were tied with a blue and brown polka-dot ribbon and personalized with guests names!
